TGA-1000 Thermogravimetric Analyser

The TGA-1000 Robotic Thermogravimetric Analyser system is a fully integrated system comprising of four furnaces, a loading station and a robotic manipulator. Thermal Analysis Testing is performed on samples which are automatically loaded into a carousel before being transported to the various furnaces by means of a robotic manipulator.

SAMPLE FURNACES
The TGA-1000 Robotic Thermogravimetric Analyser is primarily used for thermal analysis testing on meterials such as Iron Ore, Coal and Organic materials. The furnaces are user configurable to temperatures ranging from ambient to 1000oC and are supplied with an integrated gas purging and extraction systems.

SAMPLE LOADING & DISPENSING SYSTEM
The TGA-1000 Thermogravimetric Analyser receives a vial of sample from an automated sample prepartion system. The TGA-1000 then takes a sample from the vial and place it into a cleaned crucible. Once the sample has been weighed, the entire carousel is then transported by a robotic manipulator to the first furnace. The TGA will measure the Loss on Ignition (also known as thermal analysis testing) at this first temperature.

Once the Loss on Igintion (LOI) is completed in the first furnace the carousel is then moved to the second furnace and LOI is re-measured at a higher temperature. The cycle is repeated for furnace three and four.

Cooling Stations
The TGA-1000 Robotic Thermogravimetric Analyser has four cooling stations where the crucibles and carousels are air cooled after thermal analysis in furnace four. The carousel is placed in the cooling cabinet for 15 minutes to cool. Thereafter the carousel is removed and sent to the loading station where the entire thermogravimetric cycle begins again.
